Seeking Rembrandt in Spain
To contemplate a work of Rembrandt in Spain was a privilege reserved just for a few. Especially because the majority of his paintings attributed to him were not from his hand. Isadora Rose, who already talked about the problem of the attribution of Anna and Tobias the blind in 2002, reveals which were the supposed rembrandts that arrived to the peninsula. There is just one genuine canvas that has remained since the XVIII Century in the royal collections, Artemisa. Now, The Prado Museum has brought company to this queen and has put together over 30 master works of Rembrandt in an inedit exhibition.
