Murillo in the light of a changing perception
He was regarded as a genius by his contemporaries but centuries later his work was considered 'outdated' by critics. The Bilbao Museum of Fine Arts presents 40 of his first paintings, those in which his brushwork is refined, demonstrating the creative and compositional own precocity of a great master. Ignacio Cano reveals the latest findings of the exhibition.
