Pourbus and the tradition of the Flemish Primitives
The triptych of St. John the Baptist, added in 2000 to the Prado Museum, is one of the most important works of Pierre Pourbus, the seventeenth-century Flemish painter. His vision of nature and the monumentality of his figures are characteristic of all his creation. Through this work, Matías Díaz Padrón delves into the trace of the artist in our country.
