The year of Beatriz Milhazes
Multidisciplinary and restless, the Brazilian woman is an artist in constant motion. As soon she paints pictures and makes album covers, as she does interventions in the London Underground or decorates the stage for a dance show. 2009 has been intense for her. Earlier this year she participated in Retrospective 1, the biennial in New Orleans; in March she opened her first European individual at the Cartier Foundation and she is now working on the studio of Durham Press in Pennsylvania. Juan Manuel Bonet looks back on her career.
