This is the most important event for the art market in Belgium, a fair that exceeds the borders of this country turned into the European scene as an unmissable date after half a century. This 57th edition features a special guest, the King Baudouin Foundation, which will yield a selection of its Heritage Fund, composed of about 7,000 pieces, to celebrate with more than 40,000 visitors expected at the show 25 years of existence.
For this new edition is expected to play a greater role in the decorative arts of the twentieth century, with the joint participation of Futur Antérieur, Yves Gastoué and Oscar Graf. Without prejudice to the primitive arts, which remain one of the strengths of the show thanks to Serge Schoffel. Lovers of the eighteenth century furniture will enjoy the return of Perrin Antiquaires, and Haute Époque stalwarts celebrate the arrival of Mullany Gallery. Porcelain and ceramics will enjoy together an exclusive space in the joint stand of Lemaire, Marc Michot, N. Ikodinovic & Co, along with participation of Art & Patrimoine solo.
Paintings are well represented with the return of Oscar De Vos (Sint Martens Lathem) and the additions of ean-Francois Cazeau y J. Bastien Art. The Great Masters will visit the stands of Copetti Antiquari, Galerie Montanari, Charly Bailly Fine Art and Galerie Grand Rue, who propose a collection of etchings, watercolors and old gouaches. Smaller but specialized is the presence of Brenke Gallery - icons – and Antique Wallpapers, adding new categories to BRAFA'12.
